My Spirit-Led Caddie

My Spirit-Led Caddie

They say every great golfer needs a great caddie.

Someone who sees the shot when you’re standing in doubt.
Someone who calms you when the round gets hard.
Someone who believes in your swing even when you don’t.

For me, that person has always been Lindsey.

With Valentine’s Day here, I’ve been reflecting on how much of 70x7 Golf Co. wouldn’t exist without her. Not just the brand, but the courage to start it, the faith to trust it, and the daily encouragement to keep showing up.

Before 70x7 was ever a logo, a product or a post on social media, God was already moving.

About a week before I even mentioned the idea for this brand, Lindsey started seeing fire. Real flames in the distance while driving, on rooftops, out of the corner of her eye. And no one else saw it. Not even the kids in the back seat.

Naturally, she did what any curious mom would do, she looked it up.

What she found was powerful: fire, especially rising in the direction of the east, is often seen as a symbol of the Holy Spirit on the move.

A few days later, she told me about it.

And that same day, without knowing what she’d discovered, I shared the idea for 70x7 Golf.

Not coincidence.
Confirmation.

This brand wasn’t born from a business plan. It was born from faith. From forgiveness. From listening when God nudges you toward something that feels bigger than logic.

And Lindsey has been there every step of the way.

From encouraging me to take the leap, brainstorming product ideas at the kitchen table, helping with posts, praying over decisions, celebrating the wins and reminding me who’s really in control when things feel uncertain.

She calls herself my “caddie,” but the truth is, I couldn’t walk this course without her.

Valentine’s Day isn’t just about flowers or dinner reservations. It’s about honoring the people God places beside us — the ones who support our dreams, strengthen our faith and believe in what He’s doing through us even when the path isn’t clear yet.

If you’re building something, chasing a calling or stepping out in faith, I pray you have someone in your corner like Lindsey has been in mine.

And if you’ve ever felt those strange nudges, signs or moments that don’t quite make sense, pay attention.

Sometimes “coincidence” is just another word for God quietly confirming you’re right where He wants you.

Happy Valentine’s Day and thank you, Lindsey, for being my biggest blessing, my strongest supporter and the best caddie a guy could ever ask for. ❤️
