What We’ve Been Building

What We’ve Been Building

Lindsey here!

Yesterday, we snuck away for the day.

No tee times. No to-do lists. Just two laptops, some coffee and a passion project we’ve been quietly building behind the scenes that we can’t wait to share with you.

Building something with your best friend sounds idyllic — and honestly, most days it really is. But nobody talks about the part where you have to figure out who’s actually in charge. (We’re both still convinced it’s us.) Or where “honest feedback” somehow starts sounding a lot like “unsolicited criticism from someone you also share a mortgage with.”

And then there are the arguments that would never survive a normal workplace. This week’s offense involved a Jimmy John’s run and a Number 13 that mysteriously never made it to me. I won’t get into details, but just know I’ll absolutely be bringing it back up in six months during an unrelated disagreement.

But the good far outweighs all of that.

The flexibility to pivot when life asks you to. The built-in brainstorming partner who also happens to be your favorite person. Someone willing to climb into the valley with you when the work gets heavy — and someone who grabs your hand and pulls you toward the mountaintop when God starts opening doors you never could’ve planned yourself.

And maybe the best part of all is getting to sit across the table from your person and dream together. Not just about business goals or products, but about building something that actually points people back to Him.

That’s what yesterday was.

A lot of dreaming. A lot of praying. A lot of planning for what’s next.

Some of you may have already caught little hints of it, but one of the biggest things we’ve been working on is a devotional project that’s incredibly personal to us and deeply tied to why 70x7 exists in the first place. Faith, golf, forgiveness, real life — all woven together through stories and lessons God has been teaching us along the way.

We’re getting close now.

And while we’re not ready to share everything just yet, we truly believe this is what God placed on our hearts to build. We can’t wait to bring you along for it.
